Josh Hamilton knows how to hit a baseball. We're only 1/5th of the way through the baseball season, and he's already hit 18 homeruns. If he keeps hitting at this pace, he'd have somewhere in the neighborhood of 90 homeruns by the end of the season, which would absolutely demolish Barry Bonds' record of 73.
Hamilton is no slouch when it comes to hitting the ball. To put his current streak into perspective- if Josh Hamilton were a team, he'd have more homeruns than the Padres and only one less than both the Twins and the Cubs. He recorded 25 homeruns last season and over 30 the season before. But, to surpass Bonds' record, he'd have to nearly triple his prior best season's homerun total.
Will Hamilton keep up this monstrous pace? Or will he fall short by the end of the season?
